Rev-Up Raglan has been postponed for one year due to the recent uncertain economic and political issues.
The extra year of planning will enable a bigger and better launch event.
After careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to postpone Rev Up Raglan to ensure we can deliver the event at the scale and quality it deserves.
There are a number of contributing factors — including current economic pressures, rising fuel costs impacting travel, and the timing alongside other major events in Raglan, particularly the upcoming World Surf League (WSL) event.
We did explore that option. However, Rev Up was specifically designed to support Raglan’s local economy during a typically quieter time of year, outside of the main summer season. April plays an important role in that strategy, and we want to stay true to the purpose of the event — bringing energy, visitors, and activity into the town when it benefits the community most. For that reason, we’ve chosen to keep the timing and build toward April 2027.
Rev Up Raglan is postponed, not cancelled. We are committed to bringing it back in April 2027, with the same format and an even stronger delivery.
Why not run a smaller version this year?
We did consider that. However, Rev Up is designed as a full-scale experience, and running a reduced version wouldn’t deliver the value expected by attendees, sponsors, or the community. We’d rather take the time to build it properly and deliver something we’re proud of.
Absolutely — we’d love you to still come. Raglan will still be buzzing, and the Harbour View Hotel will be hosting live music and entertainment all weekend, so there will still be a great atmosphere in town.
